Today, there are many depressing and challenging things to deal with. And it too often causes our hearts to become heavy with difficulties, dismay, and doubts. Yet, I firmly believe that Laughter provides our lives with the required balance. Or, to put it another way, humor helps to overcome the darkness of worry, stress, and despair.
Also, consider the power of joy if you want to chase away the shadows of despair. When we feel it, we experience feelings of pleasure and delight. Envision joy as the light that dispels the gloom of hardship or anguish. It is also the antidote to distress and depression. Plus, it will be beneficial to you in handling life’s everyday ups and downs.
And another blight on life that can come from struggles, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, living alone, etc., is the feeling of being unloved. It is probably the worst of all hurts. And you can feel that way even when surrounded by loving people. Nevertheless, if feeling unloved, overlooked, or forgotten, fear not. Love is ever persistent. It will find you once again.
God can dispel the darkness of gloom and dismay.
Amid the chaos – tribulations, misery, and darkness can become a huge weight on your shoulders. It will press down, crush hope, and fill your world with all sorts of grief if allowed. But even in our darkest hours, God is ready to lift that weight off our shoulders and free us.
He is willing to help even if you have not believed in him. Or, for whatever reason, have hardened your heart and turned your back on him. None of that matters. He is all forgiving and wants to save you right now.
He is the only source of never-ending love that will warm your heart. God loves you. And will fill you with divine joy and happiness that exceeds all understanding. He will instill laughter like no one else to liberate your depressed spirit. He wants to help. You only need to ask, of course!
