An infirmity is any mental or physical sickness. It covers affliction, disorder, illness, indisposition, and all ailments. The mental aspects refer to issues related to a weak mind, will, or character. And the conditions of low self-esteem, insecurities, and being easily influenced.
Some people today believe that “spirits of infirmity” make people sick. Or, they might talk about the “spirits” of certain sins or emotions, like anger or lust. Satan and his minions can attack our bodies, feelings, and ways of thinking, that’s for sure.
But we can’t say Satan is to blame for every illness, bad feeling, or sin. There are other explanations for such things. Nevertheless, God can heal you no matter the cause of these distressing vexations.
Yet, the spirit of infirmity’s primary goal is to inflict paralysis, sicknesses, and diseases. And it uses a multitude of different tactics to achieve its destructive purpose.
As I said before, not all diseases, illnesses, and paralysis are directly caused by the spirit of infirmity. However, most of them are connected to it in some way, either directly or indirectly.
There are a lot of health problems that can be diagnosed with high-tech medical tools but can’t be fixed by medicine. God’s supernatural power is the only thing that can cure these health problems for good.
